Vinícius Tavares Silva

Doctoral Student at Fluid Dynamics

Vinícius is a PhD student in the turbomachinery group, Division of Fluid Dynamics at the Department of Mechanics and Maritime Sciences. He is working on the ITAP (Integrated Turbofan Airframe Performance) project. The aim of his research is to evaluate both conventional and radical solutions for integrating the engines with the aircraft. The project consists of designing aircraft/engine integration systems and evaluating their aerodynamic performance by using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) tools and performing small scale experiments in the Chalmers low speed wind tunnel.
