Construction logistics for increased resource utilization and transport efficiency
Research Project, 2023 – 2025

Purpose and goal
The purpose of this project is to provide the construction industry with complete logistics solutions (physical and information sharing as well as business models and policies) that enable circular material flows for increased resource management and increased transport efficiency. Objectives:
*Reduce waste quantities & environmental impact in line with Sweden´s circular economy strategy *Increased resource management and transport efficiency through better information sharing, sorting & collection

Expected results and effects

*Theoretical and/or practically tested solutions such as services, products and processes for increased resource management
*New processes and services for data sharing and planning that provide increased collaboration between actors enabeling reduced climate impact through coordination of transportation
*Mapping and proposal for incentives via policy instruments to enable resource efficiency and efficient data sharing
*New business models for increased resource efficiency and increased collaboration across the business ecosystem

Planned approach and implementation
Through a combination of iterative action research in three construction phases (planning, execution, reporting) applied to three types of construction projects (new construction, renovation as well as demolition) Through a policy - and a business model lab, future scalable circular solutions see the light of day.
