Integrated learning - Expert Learning Lab
Research Project, 2023 – 2025

The overarching vision of the Expert Learning Lab project (ELL) is to secure available learning for experts in the current life-long learning landscape to ensure that Sweden has the competences and expertise in advanced digitalization technologies, so that Sweden’s major industries are competitive and attractive workplaces promoting and fostering knowledge development for the 21st century. Ultimately, ELL is about system innovation for lifelong learning and for finding a new mechanism where industry drives the development of their experts in co-production and collaboration with academia. ELL aims at a complex but sustainable system for development of learning content in new forms, learning in the flow of work with new methods, and the creation of a community with new learning technologies. ELL focus is targeting the top technical expert level, where ELL will focus on transformational technologies. ELL will spread project knowledge, upskill relevant actors outside ELL and drive the advanced digitalization in Sweden with Swedish industries in scope. Without initiatives like ELL there is a real and palpable risk that Sweden will be less competitive in transformational technical, system innovation and deep-tech areas.
