Digital synchronization of geometry data for efficient value chains (DigiSync)
Research Project, 2024 – 2027

he projektet DigiSync aims to develop advanced digital tools to synchronize geometry data in the manufacturing industry, particularly in the automotive and aerospace sectors. The goal is to optimize tolerance setting in early phases but also support this with optimized measurement processes. A digital twin for optimized geometric quality will also be developed. This, taken together, is expected to lead to more efficient value chains and strengthen Swedish industry´s competitiveness.

Expected results include the development of new quality assurance methods, faster design and production processes, and improved product quality. The project will reduce time to market by developing an improved digital support for tolerance management and measurement data. Using newly developed standards and synchronizing geometry data between different actors reduces the risk of errors.
