Current collector for dynamical charging at electrical road, strengthening analysis, modeling, and simulation

Volvo and Chalmers have previously cooperated in the Slide-in project, by studying a current collector for dynamical charging of electrical vehicles (ref project 33550-2). Project partners would like to enhance research in this area, with industrial partners, related to strength analysis, calculations, measure technologies, and comparisons of different current collector concepts. Project proposed will be a new project, with a new group of industrial members, that will develop a new joint methodology for new development of current collector devices, that includes, function tests, regulator design, HW/mechanical design, and simulation environments and tests, prior to manufacturing of the current collector. Project team will define a new concept, test this concept by modelling, and by available measure data. Finally, project will manufacture a new current collector, and test this in test-rig, and in real operation, to evaluate the development methodology used.
