Equality in Planning
Research Project, 2018
– 2019
This study connects to the research project ‘The uneven geography of migration’ funded by Mistra Urban Futures, VGR, The city of Gothenburg and Skaraborg Local Authorities. From 2016 all municipalities are required to arrange accommodation for refugees with residence permits. The aim of the law is to provide a fairer distribution of refugees. The purpose of this study is to examine how three municipalities have handled their responsibility, and what the consequences are regarding spatial inclusion of refugees. Is it reasonable to conclude that the law has led to increased justice?
