Increased innovation capacity across organizational boundaries in healthcare
Research Project, 2018 – 2020

The target group of the project consists of organizations in in primary care, dental care, hospital care and elderly care whose main challenges include collaboration across organizational boundaries, internal as well as external, and efficiency improvements e.g. through digitalization. The purpose of the project is to increase the participating organizations’ capacity to lead and organize successful innovation processes based on identified needs. The long-term purpose is to, based on results end learnings from the project, offer organizations in primary care, dental care, hospital care and elderly care packaged services for development of their innovation capacity. The offering to be developed in the project consists of two interventions: a training part and an implementation part where the participating teams apply the acquired skills in real innovation projects in their organizations, under guidance. Managers participate actively in the project; they lead their teams while at the same time being coached in innovation management. The results and learnings from last year’s Vinnova-funded project “Increased innovation capacity in healthcare” have been integrated in this project. Changes include the active participation by managers throughout the project, a broadened learning approach to simultaneously address the individual, team and organizational levels.
