Optimal control of intelligent electric vehicles for a fossil free, safe and efficient transport system
Research Project, 2019 – 2021

In this proposal, we aim to leverage advanced modeling techniques and energy control theory to bridge this research lacuna from three aspects: (1) At the battery level, develop a holistic optimal energy
management system for an EV; (2) At the traffic level, propose an optimal control methodology for a fleet of autonomous and connected EVs (ACEVs); (3) At the mixed traffic level, a stochastic control framework will be devised for both manual EVs and ACEVs in a mixed traffic environment.

The project is supported by Chalmers AoA Transport Foundation, with a total budget of 2.4 million SEK including matchup funding.
