The shipping sector is facing a period of large investments to reduce environmental impact and reach carbon dioxide (CO2) reduction targets. In this project the life cycle environmental performance of short sea ships using (i) electrofuels in combination with combustion engines and exhaust abatement equipment or (ii) electricity, electric engines and batteries.
