VALLA Coach steg 3
Research Project, 2019 – 2020

The ambition of Valla Coach is to create practice-based measurability of productivity and performance as well as increase safety in production through dialogue and continuous learning. In Steps 1 and 2 of the project, VALLA Coach has evolved from a testbed to a platform of methods and tools for improvement of productivity and safety on site, grounded on an expansive-learning methodology and coaching toward continuous development. The platform is hence based on scientific approaches for production efficiency, method development, digital visualization as well as training and coaching. Through its expansive learning and coaching methodology, VALLA
Coach has clear links with projects within SBE's focus area ‘Kunskapslyft’. The model now needs to be consolidated and validated for broader implementation.

The aim of Step 3 of the Valla Coach project, is twofold: 1) to validate the developed Valla Coach model and quantitative (digital) and qualitative measuring and expansive learning methods and tools preliminarily tested in Step 2 and 2) to implement, refine and establish the model in different construction organisations.

The aim will be fulfilled by having the four collaborating industry partners (Bo Klok, IkanoBostad, NCC and Veidekke) contribute with 12 validation sites. VALLA Coaches will be trained in the partner companies as well as from selected consultancies to ensure that skills and abilities are further spread in the industry. Validation and
training of VALLA Coaches will take place simultaneously and in parallel with and in the company's projects, a proven method for enhancing continuous learning and communication. Valla Coach's business model consists of coaching and education and is in step 3 based on project financing. Step 3 also includes developing a new business model for continuation in Step 4, where the VALLA Coach revenue model will switch from project financing to participating companies that pay for training and coaching.
