Development of model and methodology for ground-borne noise in road and railway projects
Research Project, 2020 – 2022

The aim of the project is, within the framework of a Ph.D. education, to develop a design methodology for structure-borne noise that correspond to the one available for air-borne noise, so that the Swedish Transport Administration can make design procurement for structural-borne noise in a similar way as for air-borne noise, and thus increases the possibility of obtaining more uniform and correct results. In order to develop a methodology a calculation model must also be established, why the project also include this. This does not mean that the model is fixed but it can and should, if necessary, be updated in line with new experiences, knowledge and solutions even after this project has been completed. The project will also offer a platform for new structure-born noise-related research.
