Falling film evaporators with highly efficient heating surfaces - Reduction of uncertainties before industrial implementation
Research Project, 2020 – 2022

The purpose of the project is to strengthen the design basis for full-scale implementation of previously identified highly efficient structured heat transfer surfaces for fall film evaporators in terms of the effects of indirect effects such as friction pressure drop and coatings. Scientifically, the goal is to increase understanding of and thus improve the modeling of these indirect effects. The Swedish Energy Agency considers that the project's potential to contribute to the program's sub-goal Energy and resource-efficient production processes is good, as the project contains both the development of new material surfaces and the optimization of existing evaporation plants.
