SICS - Safe Interaction, Connectivity and State v2
Research Project, 2013 – 2015

The main goal of this project is to safely deliver connected lifestyle functionality while also improving driver attention. To achieve this we must overcome issues related to driver distraction guidelines and regulation for visual-manual interaction, meet increased consumer demand for connected lifestyle, and integrate state-of-the-art on-board driver inattention monitoring. The main expected results of this project include (1) a significant contribution to international HMI Guideline forums by performing research to influence HMI guidelines development and performance testing, (2) a major step towards safely delivered connected lifestyle functionality, and (3) improved driver inattention monitoring.
