Yt- och rymdladdningars och deras inverkan på polymera högspänningsisolationsprestanda
Research Project, 2013 – 2014

The goal of the project is to deliver knowledge on properties and behavior of high voltage polymeric insulation systems in presence of space and surface charges. The study aims at strengthening our understanding of physical mechanisms responsible for charge accumulation and decay in polymeric insulating materials and on gas-solid interfaces exposed to strong dc stresses. This would allow for elaborating engineering computational tools for prediction and analysis of flashover performance of polymeric insulators affected by space and surface charges. The research will be performed at the High Voltage Engineering group at Chalmers in close co-operation with ABB research units in Sweden and Poland. The project will contribute to the industrial work on development of new components (insulators, bushings, etc.) for future sustainable power networks
