Goals/targets The project aims to identify cellular targets for amyloid- mediated toxicityn in Alzheimer´s disease by studying an engineered amyloid- aggregate (´protofibril´) and its interactions with and trafficking in neuronal cells. The purpose is to offer academic qualification for Assistant Professor Elin Esbjörner Winters (Vinnmer fellow) through collaboration between the Dept. of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Chalmers (host) and the Dept. of Molecular Biology at SLU (qualifying milieu).
