More efficient and health conscious usage of lithium ion batteries by adaptive modeling
Research Project, 2017 – 2022

The project aims to develop models and algorithms designed for deployment in vehicles, and through, inter alia, the use of control strategies with dynamic instead of static limits can contribute to increased battery life-time as well as that a larger part of the battery capacity can be used. The developed methodology will be validated experimentally in cells aged in vehicles. The Energy Agency considers that the project has significant potential to produce results with high industrial relevance, and can contribute to resource-efficient use of batteries.
