Particle flows in Exhaust gas aftertreatment systems
Research Project, 2017 – 2018

In this project, Mingfei Mu (exchange PhD Student from Beihang University, China) is studying the flow in inlet cones used in exhaust aftertreatment systems. By 3D-printing different cone shapes, the numerical findings of related pressure drop could be verified. Moreover, by expanding the scope to particutate matter, the interplay between the flow fiels, particulate matter deposition and regeneration temperature effects could be investigated
