Phase-Sensitive Amplified Optical Link Operating in the Nonlinear Transmission Regime
Paper in proceeding, 2012

We characterize a phase-sensitive amplifier (PSA) after an 80km fiber span, carrying a single DQPSK channel in the nonlinear transmission regime. The system penalty with increasing intrachannel nonlinear distortion is similar for EDFA and PSA based systems, indicating that the PSA sensitivity advantage remain with nonlinear transmission.
