A VEHICLE SIMULATOR ON A MOTION PLATFORM FOR VEHICLE DYNAMIC EVALUATION
Paper in proceeding, 2006

A vehicle simulator concept for evaluating new vehicle techniques and driver’s perception of the new technique is described. The simulator is based on a motion platform and is able to simulate fairly normal driving. A virtual environment connected a dynamic vehicle model are used to combine sound, vision and motion to give the a realistic feeling of driving a car. Some examples of driving tests are described.
