Developing lean leaders through action learning
Paper in proceeding, 2024

Leaders as facilitators of learning have been highlighted as important for succeeding with lean and the development of a learning organisation. The purpose was to increase the understanding of how an intervention based on action learning can develop lean leaders learning facilitating skills. The study was carried out in two companies as an action learning intervention. The findings suggest three interrelated development areas: front-line managers' working conditions, well-being, and learning opportunities. Managers engaged with problems and solutions proactively through the intervention, demonstrating that lean leaders' learning facilitation skills can be improved with a well-designed process.
