High-precision molecular spectroscopy with a phase-locked quantum- cascade laser

We report on high-precision molecular spectroscopy using a harmonic Schottky diode mixer for phase-locking a quantum-cascade laser at 3.3 THz to 574-GHz reference signal. By using a mechanical cryocooler and a Golay cell detector the setup does not require liquid cryogens
