How can we motivate and engage our students to develop their technical writing skills?
Other conference contribution, 2024

Chalmers students are often not as motivated nor engaged in developing their technical writing skills as they are their discipline skills and knowledge. This presentation reveals how using students’ own writing, enhancing the feedback moments, and having communication and technical instructors collaborate more closely together stimulated motivation and engagement in students’ technical communication skills. Additionally, the students improved their approach to data commentary writing. However, basic writing and technical skills still clearly need considerable development.
