Transition of Supply Chain Planning Processes during Disruptions

Supply chains face a lot of disruption which are difficult to foresee. These require organizations to be responsive with their supply chain planning process (SCP). The purpose of this paper is to understand the capabilities required to transition the SCP process during a disruption. A case study was conducted to identify the changes during the Covid-19 and Semi-Conductor crisis. The findings show that people-based capabilities like decision making, collaboration, knowledge management are and process based capabilities like add and modifying process are required. IT based capabilities are limited. The findings contribute to the field of responsiveness in supply chain.
