Long-Haul Transmission of PM-2PPM-QPSK at 42.8 Gbit/s

We present the first experimental realization of polarization-multiplexed 2 pulseposition modulation QPSK. Close to 40% increase in transmission reach is achieved compared to conventional polarization-multiplexed QPSK at a data rate of 42.8 Gbit/s.
