High speed and high temperature operation of VCSELs

VCSELs operating at high bit rates over a wide temperature range are needed for the next generation optical interconnect standards. We report on the high speed and high temperature characteristics of 850 nm VCSELs and VCSEL arrays capable of meeting the upcoming requirements.
