Effect of Surface Charges on the Flashover Voltage Characteristics of Polymeric Materials: Comparison between Theory and Practice
Paper in proceeding, 2007

A comparison between numerical calculations of the model proposed by Tang et. al. to estimate the critical flash overvoltage (CFO) and the experimental data presented by Blennow et. al. was made. The results showed that the model reasonably estimated CFO having a maximum deviation of 11%. Moreover, the model fairly computed the CFO trend observed by Blennow et. al. when the charges are placed at the material surface.
