ELISTAFT: Efficient Logistics Interfaces Supporting a Transition to Autonomous Freight Transport
Forskningsprojekt, 2020
– 2021
The use of autonomous vehicles in goods transport systems has a number of potential benefits. However, the transition to a future autonomous (and electric) freight system needs to take account of the interface between the vehicle and other parts of the logistics system. Supporting such transition, the project aims to generate two main results: 1) an increased understanding of the prerequisites for achieving automated loading, unloading, related information handling and in-plant transport in the supplying and receiving facilities, as presented above as part of the project description and 2) a basis for an extended research project on the topic.
