Car-goNE-City: Cargo Bikes and Neighbourhood Engagement in the 15-Minute City
Forskningsprojekt, 2023 – 2026

Purpose and goals
Car-goNE-City investigates the extent to which shared cargo bikes can increase accessibility to important city functions, lower transport costs and reduce private driving. The project's goals include (1) studying accessibility over time; (2) Understand the potential of cargo bike shared mobility to reduce car use. (3) Engage citizens in the design of shared mobility using methods of digital participation, gamification and pilot projects. (4) Identify effective methods to accelerate the implementation of shared mobility.

Expected effects and results
Car-goNE City investigates how shared mobility with cargo bikes can be a bridge to more sustainable mobility. The project focuses on residential areas outside the city centers with a focus on the implementation of new mobility solutions. The project develops new accessibility metrics that include shared mobility. We are also developing new decision-making tools to facilitate transitions to mobility through digital participation and gamification. Finally, we will develop scenarios and implementation paths in collaboration with the various project parties.
