Automotive 5G Integrated Security and Communications
Forskningsprojekt, 2018
– 2019
The usage of broadband services via mobile devices is steadily becoming increasingly important. With 5G and its evolutions, users will expect the connected society to be available with no limitations, and users will make use of bandwidth-demanding services like augmented reality and virtual office applications, also when on the move.
In this project we address the following questions:
How and where to implement security in 5G V2X communications
How are delays introduced in security layer(s) affecting the overall performance and real-time dependent services?
How to optimize 5G (multi-node/multi-beam) connectivity for moving vehicles for secure and reliable connectivity
How to optimize resource allocation and route selection for multi-vehicle optimal secure and reliable connectivity in dynamic dense heterogeneous, multi-hop, 5G networks
How to best support reliable key distribution schemes in such networks
How to fulfill the quality of service (QoS) requirements (reliability, latency, …) in such a network for optimal performance of the security protocols.
