Extending a Solar PV diffusion model with the inclusion of electricity retailers

Solar PV diffusion in Sweden is part of the strategic plan of the Government to achieve carbon neutrality. Coupled with battery storage, it also presents interesting options for electrification of mobility and electricity autonomy. The objective of this project is to extend an existing solar PV diffusion model with the inclusion and impact of electricity retailers on solar PV diffusion, while looking at other key actors in the Swedish prosumer landscape. The focus is on the modelling of a key actor and intermediary, vis a vis electricity retailer, and their impact on the transition to solar PV electricity in Sweden. This cuts across multiple disciplines such as systems thinking, and theories of socio-technical innovations.
