Erik Ahlgren
Min forskning handlar om energisystem, relationer och kopplingar mellan olika tids- och geografiska skalor, och mellan olika delar av energisystemet. För närvarande undersöker jag och min forskargrupp framför allt urbana system, bland annat med fokus på värmets roll, och landbygdselektrifiering i Östafrika, men också hur biogas används på bästa sätt. Forskningen fokuserar på förståelse av lokala system och dessas utveckling med tiden, och kopplar samman teknik, ekonomi och miljö. Energisystemmodeller utgör viktiga verktyg. Jag samverkar med ett flertal universitet i östra Afrika, bland annat Addis Abeba University, University of Rwanda och Eduardo Mondlande University (i Maputo). Jag ansvarar för kursen Klimatet - vetenskapen, åtgärderna och styrmedlen, som ges digitalt på kvällstid för allmänheten.
