Integrerad spårdynamik (CHARMEC TS8)
Forskningsprojekt, 2003
– 2021
The computer program DIFF for simulation of high-frequency vehicle‒track interaction has been applied in several CHARMEC projects. Examples of performed studies have been analyses of the effect of impact loads generated by wheel flats, design of concrete sleepers for higher axle loads, and specifications of optimum vertical stiffness for ballasted tracks. A continued aim of the senior project TS8 is to provide DIFF as an updated and user-friendly computer tool for integrated track dynamics, and to implement it in various relevant applications requested by the partners in CHARMEC. The project also includes various other assignments related to train‒track interaction, such as the planning, preparation, support and follow-up of research proposals, giving lectures on vehicle‒track dynamics, noise and vibration, as well as organizing, participating in and presenting at scientific conferences, workshops and seminars. Part of the project is devoted to memberships in the scientific committee of IAVSD (International Association for Vehicle System Dynamics), the international committee of IWRN (International Workshop on Railway Noise), and the editorial board of the International Journal of Rail Transportation
