Battery Management
Forskningsprojekt, 2019 –

The perhaps most important function of a BMS is to estimate and predict the available power, which is the maximum charge and discharge powers allowed in order to not prematurely age or damage the battery cells. This project will develop a method for how to derive robust algorithms for estimating the battery cells interior limits and the corresponding available power. Using the algorithms the power capacity of the battery can then be better utilized; charging can be made faster, the life-time increased and the energy management in hybrid vehicles be improved. As a consequence electrified and hybrid vehicles will become more attractive to potential drivers and a development towards a more sustainable vehicle fleet is enhanced.
