From the continent to the north
Paper i proceeding, 2013

Contrary to the frequent claims of national historiographies, Modern Architecture in the Nordic countries is — in contrast to its countries of origin, i.e. Netherlands, France, Germany or Russia — not the result of local development, but the result of a cultural transfer from these countries to the north. The aim is to trace, what effect examples on the European continent – and especially those from Germany – have on the development of modern architecture in the Nordic countries, in particular in Sweden.
