How to attract knowledge workers: Company size, gender, age and education as moderators
Paper i proceeding, 2018

Knowledge workers (KWs) are critical for professional service firms of the AEC industry. Scarcity of skilled human resources is a problem and firms must find ways to be attractive in order to recruit, maintain and increase commitment of KWs. The aim in this paper is to analyse how firm size, gender, age and education of KWs influence their attraction to different job characteristics. The data is collected through a questionnaire survey, which was responded by 132 KWs. The results show that KWs of different firm sizes, genders, age groups and education levels are attracted to different job characteristics and the relation between attraction and age or education is not linear.
