Modelling of the induction machine for supply voltage disturbances
Artikel i vetenskaplig tidskrift, 1994

The paper deals with the dynamic response of the induction machine to low-frequency perturbations in the supply voltage and supply frequency. Measurements on the induction machine response are compared with the results predicted by different dynamic models of the induction machine. The results predicted by the fifth-order non-linear Park model agree well with the measured induction machine response to supply frequency perturbations. To determine the induction machine response to very low-frequency perturbations in the amplitude of the supply voltage, the Park model must in many cases be modified to take varying iron losses into account. A first-order model can be used to determine the dynamic response only at very low perturbation frequencies, below 2 Hz for the 15 kW machine investigated. Somewhat higher perturbation frequencies can be treated by a second order model.
