The intersection of industrial resilience and sustainability in manufacturing supply chains
Paper i proceeding, 2021

Subsequent to the Covid-19 pandemic and in the current context of overconsumption of resources, manufacturing organizations need to fundamentally rethink their efforts in order to align the objectives of a resilient and sustainable supply chain. The purpose of this study was to explore resilience and sustainability in manufacturing supply chains in order to conceptualize their intersection and understand prerequisites for the alignment of these two. Managing identified fragmenting mechanisms contributes to the further co-evolution of resilience and sustainability, which in turn will set the foundation to develop a maturity model that outlines capabilities for sustainable and resilient manufacturing supply chains.
