Mostafa Kermani

Post doc at Electric Power Engineering

Mostafa Kermani is a postdoctoral researcher in the research unit Power grids and Components. He received both M.Sc. and Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Birjand University, Iran, in 2013, and Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, in 2019, respectively.
He was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow between May 2019 and April 2020 in the “Supervisory, Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) in micro and nano grids for energy management.”
Since May 2020, he is a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Department of Electric Power Engineering, Chalmers University of Technology.
The project is about “Cross-Sectoral Energy Control through Interconnected Microgrids by Multiport Converter”. This project aims to develop a holistic solution to optimally control cross-sectoral energy flow between different energy carriers and demands within the electricity, transport and heat sector, assisted by developing an innovative multiport converter with innovative energy storage solutions by a multidisciplinary team.
His research interests include energy management in microgrids, optimization and uncertainty modeling, hybrid energy storage technologies, and SCADA system in smart buildings. Mostafa Kermani is an IEEE Member.
