Research interests: Applied mathematical modelling of Non Destructive Testing (NDT) in general and have published both Finite Element and Integral Equation solutions for ultrasonic and eddy current techniques. Recent work made on Probability Of Detection (POD) investigating parametric models vs stochastical computation on deterministic models. For the moment efforts are made in developing strategy for building Meta-models and quantifying the quality. The plan is basically to use a kind of screening method for finding essential parameters by studying the difference between the deterministic model and the meta model. Author of about 20 papers in international peer reviewed journals, many conference papers and technical reports. Teaching experience: Have given courses, on all academic levels, in mechanics, strength of materials/solid mechanics, machine design and non-destructive testing, etc. Have supervised a number of master of science and bachelor of science/engineering degree-theses/diploma work in both machine design and product development.
