Karl Johan Larsson is an industrial doctoral student from Autoliv and performs research on methods to include a larger portion of the human population in vehicle crash safety evaluations, than what is represented by the crash test dummies of today. This is mainly done by morphing the geometry of the SAFER HBM average male human body model, to represent other individuals in the population. By enabling safety evaluations of more individuals, this research contributes to the development of vehicles that are safer for all.
