Plinio Fernandes Borges Silva

Doctoral Student at Materials and manufacture

Plinio is a PhD student on the field of graphene coating on metal particles for different applications such as Thermal Spraying and Additive Manufacturing (AM). He has experience in the research field of carbon nanomaterials such as graphene since 2015. The aim of the addition of graphene as a coating on the metal powder is to improve the final properties of the products such as thermal and electrical conductivity, and corrosion protection. The success of the research will be able to help our industrial partners to improve the efficiency of their processes and the quality of their products.
