Pre MAXBATT
Research Project, 2022
– 2023
The project has two aims. The first aim is to accelerate the scale-up of research, skills and teaching resources on battery manufacturing. Trained engineering staff will be critical to the competitiveness of the sector. The second aim is to connect universities in Västra Götaland and a technical college that has manufacturing as its profile. Together, these educational actors will create an ecosystem for industrially adapted education and research and the dissemination of knowledge.
The project will more concretely make available courses and training in critical areas for the life cycle of electrified vehicles. The intention is to be able to present solutions for suitable courses/training for special "upskilling" of industrial personnel in important areas of the battery's value chain. In order to succeed in this, it also needs to be ensured that there is a sufficient amount of teaching and research skills in relevant areas and that these people are available for industry-adapted courses to a sufficient extent. A plan for how and when the courses can be delivered is designed together with the industry and coordinated between the universities involved in the project.
