A pre-study to prepare for interdisciplinary research on future alternative transportation fuels
Research Project, 2014
– 2015
This project is a collaboration between SICEC (Swedish Internal Combustion Engine Consortium) and f3, the Swedish knowledge centre for renewable transportation fuels. The aim of the pre-study is, from literature reviews, mappings and discussions, identify knowledge gaps and important research topics where further knowledge is needed to gain deeper understanding around trade-offs in the search for “optimal” future alternative transportation fuels. Insights from the pre-study will be the basis for writing an application for a main study. From the pre-study, the aim of the main study should be determined as well as project limitations, e.g., what time perspective, what geographical differentiated markets, what type of fuel mixes to first and foremost focus on. The pre-study will result in three sub-reports, one seminar and one main report, which in itself will be a valuable product where state-of-the-art for relevant research will be reviewed and discussed.
