Waste to design (W2D)

This project, financed by the Mistra Closing the Loop initiative, brings together experts from Stena Recycling, Semcon and Chalmers to support bachelor and masters students while they do their theses on product development using industrial waste that currently has no commercial value.

Stena Recycling proposes different industrial waste that is currently destined to incineration or landfill.

The possibility of proposing new product development with materials from the waste streams, opens interesting new design and business opportunities, at the same time setting examples of resource recovery.
