Lindholmen Integrated Mobility Arena (LIMA)
Research Project, 2019 – 2020

The LIMA (LIndholmen Integrated Mobility Arena) project aims to use new technology and new business models to change the travel behaviour of employees at companies in Lindholmen, Gothenburg. The intention is that the service, a so called MaaS service, established within the project will be continue under sustainable commercial conditions, even after the project funding has ended.

Expectations are that employees who participate in the project will reduce their use of their own car to / from work and use public transport and other means of transport for work-related travel. As a side effect of this, the number of cars to and from the Lindholms area should decrease, and the availability of parking spaces for visitors should become less of a problem. The project is also expected to generate knowledge about technical solutions for Peer-to-Peer (P2P) car sharing, related business models, and policy changes to enable these solutions.

The project will initially define and develop the service to be implemented together with potential users. In the project, technology will also be developed e.g. to enable car sharing with brand-independent keys and a dynamic traffic management function using AI. The service will be made available to users in spring of 2020 and will be evaluated to assess the behavioral change that the service succeeds in achieving.
