ASSESSING WORK-ENVIRONMENT RISKS IN INTEGRATED QUALITY AND SUSTAINABILITY ROLES: AN FMEA-BASED TOOL
Other conference contribution, 2026

Integrating quality and sustainability responsibilities can support sustainability by enhancing integration in daily operations, but might also create work-environment risks for practitioners as integrated roles are often poorly defined. This study examines such risks and develops a tool to support sustainable role integration. Based on semi-structured interviews, validation workshops and feedback sessions, a risk assessment tool grounded in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) was developed. The tool structures discussions around role expectations and work-environment risks; supporting development of organisational practices to mitigate them. The study contributes practical guidance to the integration of quality and sustainability responsibilities.
