Delivery plan quality deficiencies and the efficiency of manufacturing planning and control
Paper in proceeding, 2012

The purpose of this paper is to investigate how delivery plan information gives rise to IQ deficiencies and how these deficiencies create MPC inefficiencies. The paper is based on a case study of a supply network in the Swedish automotive industry. The paper results in four hypotheses that open up for future research regarding MPC inefficiencies, specifically in supply networks. Furthermore, the empirical case analysed in this paper highlights the practical importance of IQ in delivery plans.
