Ana Carolina Bertassini
Doctor of Industrial Engineering by the São Carlos School of Engineering (EESC) at the University of São Paulo (USP) applied to organizational cultural transformations and change and innovation management for circular economy transitions. During my 7 years as a researcher, I have developed P&D projects with companies from different sectors with a focus on sustainable innovation, circular economy implementation, and change management for disruptive changes. During those years, I have been developing my competencies in innovative solutions for sustainability and circular economy, sustainable value creation, organizational cultural transformations, and change management. I found in the circular economy a path to make changes happen to a more sustainable world. To put this passion into practice, I am going deeper into the fantastic world of recycling and remanufacturing WEEE, collaborating with a network of companies, government agencies, and international foundations and universities to delineate the future of WEEE in Brazil and globally. During my career, I have acquired experience in the development of research projects involving field studies with companies, environmental data collection, and analysis for life cycle analysis implementation, elaboration of technical-scientific reports, and routine practices in a research environment, as well as business and connection with different stakeholders. I have 1 year of international experience in Germany, as a researcher with a multicultural team, which allowed me to develop strong characteristics of flexibility and adaptability. My main professional characteristics are the ease of teamwork and empathy with others; agility in assimilating demands and self-managing my practical responsibilities; focus and attention to detail during the execution of processes, identification, and analysis of data; and excellent spoken and written communication skills.
