Elanghovan Natesan is a doctoral student in the Materials Technology research group. His research work is mainly focused on formulation of efficient constitutive and fracture models to describe the thermo-mechanical fatigue behaviour of cast aluminium alloys. The work involves extensive mechanical testing and material characterization to develop a deeper understanding of cast aluminium alloys used in internal combustion engines. Elanghovan Natesan is also part of LIGHTer, a Swedish national network of graduate students performing research on various aspects of lightweight technology.
