Digitala verktyg för hållbar planering och hantering av delad mikromobilitet med hjälp av Big Data
Forskningsprojekt, 2023 – 2025

Shared micromobility systems (SMS) have been widely adopted in the EU and globally, but there is still a need to investigate how the current systems work in practice in terms of environmental efficiency and impact on different user groups, as well as how to effectively manage SMS to achieve the SDGs. With this project, a complementary and interdisciplinary team is established to collaboratively develop Big Data evaluation methods, conduct empirical analyses and develop tools for effective SMS management in different urban contexts. The overall aim of the project is to develop data-driven evaluation methods for SMS and digital tools for SMS management with high scalability, in order to provide relevant stakeholders (e.g. city authorities and operators) with improved decision support. In addition, this project aims to serve as a groundbreaking demonstration of innovation between key actors relevant to SMS, where the latest methodologies from academia (Chalmers University of Technology) and systems analysts (WSP and CERO) are matched with the needs and perspectives of problem owners (City of Stockholm). The results focus on improving the introduction of SMS in different contexts as a flexible, efficient and sustainable complement to multimodal and inclusive transport systems that take into account the needs and preferences of different user groups and contribute to reducing transport-related emissions.
